Jeff Robertson, CMPE – President and Founder
MedSafe, Inc is Jeff Robertson’s third healthcare effort in the last 20 years. He started his first company, Dynamic Medical Systems, Inc. in 1995. After a period of five years and 50 employees later, Dynamic had successfully become the largest therapy equipment provider in the Long Term Care industry for the state of California and one of the top three regional specialized DME companies in the country. Dynamic Medical Systems, Inc. was acquired by Invacare in September of 2011.

On the heels of his success with Dynamic Medical Systems, Inc., he set out to make his entry into healthcare informatics. He formed DyMedisys in November of 1998 as he saw tremendous opportunity in automating the charting process in physician clinics. With the help of his mentor, a PhD in Process Engineering from Stanford University, he began to see the vision of an efficient and effective Electronic Health Record and the role it could play in the outpatient physician’s office. It was under the guiding hand and vision of Dr. Koo that EHR  became his focus for over 10 years as DyMedisys was at the forefront of the wave of adoption of the Electronic Medical Record in the outpatient setting.

In 2003 Jeff formed a Revenue Cycle Management Services Company that focuses on Physician Clinics that run e-MD’s Solution Series Software. The Revenue Cycle Management company provides expertise to Neurologists, Gastroenterologists, Surgery Centers, as well as Primary Care Physicians. Through all of these entrepreneurial ventures there has been three constants that have come together to fundamentally define each healthcare company: technology, relationships and distribution.

In 2008 as a special project, he was trained and certified as a safe patient handling consultant for inpatient/acute care hospital nurses and caregivers. For 5 years he consulted and provided overhead patient lifts for some of the largest Hospital construction projects in California. He assisted everything from Architectural assistance for ceiling placement to on the floor training for thousands of nurses throughout the state. He provided overhead lift solutions to Scripps Cardiovascular, Torrance Memorial Hospital, VA San Diego, and as far west as Guam Naval Hospital. It was this training and consulting of acute care nurses that laid the groundwork for the formation of MedSafe, Inc.

MedSafe, Inc is the culmination of more than 20 years in healthcare and the knowledge and experience gained from each opportunity. With his background in caregiver and nurse safety, it was a logical transition to patient safety and specifically fall prevention.

Jeff is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in finance and a second-generation healthcare professional. He is certified in Safe Patient Handling and Fall Prevention and is board certified through ACMPE (American College of Medical Practice Executives)

Gelson Viera- Controller

Gelson Vieira is a 20 plus  year veteran in the area of finance, with 8 years of experience in external audit Coopers & Lybrand. He also spent time with the internal auditing department in Europa and the Middle East  during his years at  AIG Insurance Company, Gelson’s tremendous  knowledge of multiple languages including Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian made him a great asset for the  international companies and divisions where he worked.

Gelson also worked in Southern California where he was the general manager for a large restaurant chain. He worked for 14 years and managed  over 250 employees.

Prior to joining MedSafe, Inc. He was in Brazil where he headed a project to teach English literacy to low income students as part of the preparation for the pending 2014 Soccer World Cup and the Olympics that will follow in Brazil.

Reildo “Ray” Souza- Director of Business Development

Reildo is a results-driven executive with broad understanding of business processes and Team Management obtained during 15 years of progressive experience in business development through the use of motivational team work management and personal development training. He has expertise in problem analysis and resolution, process improvement combines considerable general management qualifications. Other Specialties are: Team Building & Employee Motivation / Cross-Functional Integration / Continuous Process Improvement.
He has a bachelor in Business administration and a Masters Degree in  Systems Analysis.  Reildo has also recently been awarded his Project Management certification from UCLA.

Guy Lawrence- Regional Manager- Southern California

Guy comes to us with a diverse and varied background. Having spent over 20 years in the Office Automation industry, he held positions in technical, sales and management. In 1998, he was transferred to New York City to start a pilot program as a Network System Specialist- a liaison position to support technical, sales, and management. The implementation of complex solutions into the marketplace, to insure clear communication and to bring a smooth transition was his trademark. After the World Trade Center disaster, Guy decided to leave New York and start his own businesses, and was successful in starting 3 new business ventures. Guy came to MedSafe in 2011, with a vision and commitment to see Medsafe continue to grow, and bring the real solution of Fall Prevention to the Southern California hospitals
